Sherlock Holmes was first introduced in the 1800’s and has been popular ever since. He is the most-filmed fictional character in the US, and that’s hardly surprising. The rush of adrenaline through the cases he would undergo was the drive of this application. This book is inspired by the cases Sherlock guided viewers through.

The interactive storyline within the pages were used to enhance the experience and teach about typographic history in a different light.

This case has a series of events that progressively unfolds and leads to the resolve of the case about the typeface Baskerville. Baskerville is known as a traditional font that is a Old Style serif mixed with a modern feel.

This font is very distinguished and is well known for its play on font weight distribution, serifs, and its signature swash. Once viewers take a quick look at this font it is not a hard mystery to realize it is Baskerville. The play with Caslon and Baskerville in this book helps viewers differentiate what font is who while learning about them.

Learning about older font really helps with acknowledging the aspects about them and the developing of newer fonts. Original fonts like Baskerville may be the ones that are forever adored and admired. Paying tribute to Baskerville through out this book really brought this Old style back to recent time.
